Gerold is who will makes his debut in Chapter 12 of Kirby: Behind the Scenes 3: Chronicles of Darkness. During Derin's time as the King of Dream Land, Gerold was a member of the Dream Land Royal Army along with Ty, Brutus, Kirk and Carl. After the Crescent Moon Bandits failed attempt to raid Castle Derin, Gerold resigned from the army along with his 4 comrades.
He is Waddle Doo's uncle, Dandy's older twin brother, the brother-in-law of Lucy and the older son of Linden.

Gerold is a red Waddle Doo with a brown mohawk, a sky blue eye and black feet. He got a very slight update in design, his feet are a lighter shade of black than they originally were. 20 years ago, his mohawk had 5 pointed tips.

- Gerold is the one who coins the name Dream Warriors for the group of the main characters.
- He somewhat resembles a Waddle Doo version of Mr. T. His mohawk also have similarities to Duncan from Total Drama.
